JacobiHow many Dirac cones are found in the first Brillouin zone of graphene? According to photoemission studies of graphene grown on 4H-SiC(0001), the answer is not six but dozens. Whether they are real or simply artificial replicas has been a long running argument. While recent studies have argued that at least some replicas are real initial state bands, here the authors show that stronger evidence will be needed to close the case, since almost all of the replicas are consistent with simple photoelectron diffraction.[Phys.
