ICON-Europe 2018 International Conference On Nanoscopy

Interaktion 1, D-33619, Bielefeld, Germany

Super-resolution imaging methods now can provide spatial resolution that is well below the diffraction limit approaching virtually molecular resolution. They can be applied to biological samples and provide new and exciting views on the structural organization of cells and the dynamics of biomolecular assemblies on wide timescales. These revolutionary developments come with novel requirements for fluorescent probes, labeling techniques, and data interpretation strategies. Researchers from across the scientific spectrum are involved in designing improved tools and solving previously intractable problems using super-resolution techniques. We invite you to attend the ‘2nd International Conference On Nanoscopy 2018’, which will uniquely focus exclusively on this topic. Held in Bielefeld, Germany from 27 Feb-02 March 2018, it will bring together an international group of experts to discuss the latest advances and future directions in the field. Thomas Huser Conference Chair, University of Bielefeld, Germany

Photoredox Catalysis for Novel Organic Reactions

Potsdam, de

Organic photocatalysis is certainly one of the synthesis tools which have the potential to change the face of organic chemistry. Recent literature describes that more and more “novel” simple reactions previously thought to be kinetically impossible are enabled. This also includes so-called uphill reactions where endothermicity is compensated by photon energy. This symposium intends to catch this trend in a systematic way. The diverse communities who are working on new organic reactions, synthesizing new photocatalysts or designing devices and processes to optimize the chemical engineering of photocatalysis are intended to meet and exchange the newest information out of their research lab. The overall aim is to harvest the currently accessible full potential of organic photocatalysis by exchanging thoughts and concepts. The symposium hotel is located in Potsdam near Berlin, directly on the banks of the Griebnitzsee. The number of participants is limited to around 50 including 20 invited speakers and the program is designed specifically to allow sufficient time for discussions and a stimulating exchange of thoughts and ideas.
