£4m grant awarded to University of Manchester academics for developing 2D heterostructures

A £4m grant, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), has been awarded to scientists from the University of Manchester. The team, led by Sir Konstantin Novoselov, includes Sir  Andre Geim, Professor Steve Yeates, Professor Brian Derby, Dr Cinzia Casiraghi and Dr Zhirun Hu and Professor Andrea Ferrari (from The University of Cambridge).

The grant will aim to easily print heterostructures made from two-dimensional crystals in order to tailor their properties and application.
