Graphene based transparent and flexible ethanol sensor

A collaboration between, the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, the North Dakota State University and Yancheng Institute of Industry Technology demonstrate alcohol recognition on transparent and flexible thin film sensors.

The technology relies on constructing hybrid films of graphene with bacterial cellulose nanofibers which present resistance changes when wetted by ethanol and water.
